When a preset contains a sweetener, the "Sweetener" label will show above the preset name. Many of these adjustments are so small that they can only be measured with the incredible 1/10th cent accuracy of your Peterson Strobe Tuner. The majority of these presets are considered “Sweetener Presets” because they make an instrument sound “sweeter” by slightly adjusting each note to compensate for common inharmonicity specific to an instrument type. Sweetener™ & Guided Tuning Presets Your StroboStomp Mini contains over 80 built-in presets which cater to specific instruments. This is the default screen that the StroboStomp Mini displays when powered on. The Strobe Image and Tuning Note is displayed on the Tune Screen. For basic use, only the Tune Screen will be used. StroboStomp Mini™ Tune Screen Your StroboStomp Mini has two screens of operation in which parameters can be adjusted. Remember that one tap is enough to bump to the next Sweetener, two taps advances by two Sweeteners and so on.A buttons together will reset that parameter to its default value. Ensure that the tuner is getting signal, otherwise it won't "hear you knockin'"Ĥ. Select a different color for each active Sweetener so that a cursory glance can confirm that the Sweetener has changed.ģ. Turn off all Sweeteners that you don't need.Ģ. Take your foot off the stomp switch when the desired Sweetener is displayed on the screen.ġ. While the stomp switch is held down with your foot, mute the strings with your left hand while you tap a string or a pickup once with your right, the Sweetener will change or "Bump" to the next one on your active list (e.g. Press and hold down the stomp switch with your foot. Here's how to use the "Sweetener Bump" feature: While the P is flashing, press the + button on the right once to turn on the "Sweetener Bump" feature (to turn it off, press the - button on the right once). Press the upper ÊŒ Menu button four times - you should see a large P on the screen with "OFF" flashing to the upper right of the P.ĥ. Having done the above, here's how to turn the "Sweetener Bump" option On or Off:Ĥ. From now on, it can be turned On or Off as needed. You'll see a small + appear on the middle of the screen, you've now activated the remote "Sweetener Bump" capability. While "Hardware" is flashing, press and hold both the upper ÊŒ Menu button on the left and the + button on the right at the same time and release them.Ħ. Press the upper ÊŒ Menu button twice - you'll see "Hardware" flashing at the bottom of the screen.ĥ. While the Gear icon is flashing, press the + button on the right once.Ĥ. Press the upper ÊŒ Menu button on the left twice - you'll see the Gear icon flashing.ģ. First, plug a 1/4" instrument cable into the StroboStomp HD to switch it on.Ģ. How to Activate the "Sweetener Bump" capability:ġ. To do this, we'll be using the upper two buttons on the left and right side of the tuner (the buttons marked ÊŒ and +). To clarify, the following hidden feature allows you to remotely change the active Sweetened Tunings on the StroboStomp HD pedal tuner without having to bend down to the floor and press buttons.įirst of all, no computer is needed because the tuner does not require any update to avail of this feature, it's present (but well hidden) in every StroboStomp HD made.
